Events of the Museum

The museum hosts a few events throughout the year. All events are open to the public and we encourage all to attend. 

Night at the Museum

The Night at The Museum is the museum's annual fundraiser and celebrates Texas Independence with live demonstrations, speakers, campfire cooking, and more. Join us on the first Saturday in March.

Guy Narcomey

Guy Narcomey Is a Comanche educator and culture bearer who is fluent in the Comanche language. He is coming from Lawton, OK to tell stories, sing, and share information about the Comanche Culture.

Annual Meeting

The Museum’s Annual Membership Meeting is held each year on the first Sunday of June. Members and all who are interested in history are invited to attend. There is a brief business meeting, followed by an interesting program of historical interest.

6th Grade Tour

Every December the San Saba County Historical Museum opens its doors to give our local 6th graders a tour of the museum. It has become a tradition we look forward to!
